LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky diving team is headed to the NCAA Diving Zone C Championships on March 9-11 to the Michael H. Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti, Mich. Hosted by Eastern Michigan University, these Zones are the ultimate proving ground for divers hoping to punch their tickets to the NCAA Championship later in the month.

March 9 kicks things off with the women’s 1-meter event, with the strong women’s dive squad of junior Devynn Bishop, sophomore Avery Giese, freshman Zalika Methula, and junior Kristy Pfaff will competing on the boards. The men’s 3-meter dive will be next, where sophomore Landon Isler will lead the freshmen trio of Tyler Bobadilla, Gabriel Perdigao, Rock Sweet.

On March 10, the focus shifts to the men’s 1-meter event, as well as the women’s 3-meter event will also take place, with the Wildcats showing off their precision and technique as they go for their best dives.

The zone competition will wrap up on March 11 with the Platform events. All Wildcats will compete on this event to round out the competition, with hopes to make a big splash onto the national stage and qualify for the NCAA Championship in the coming weeks.

The NCAA Diving Zone Championships will provide one final opportunity for divers to secure their spots in the NCAA National Championships. With a field of talented athletes across both men’s and women’s events, this competition will be a great test. March 9-11 will showcase a range of diving disciplines, with top divers aiming to qualify and make their mark on the national stage.
