Wildcats Head West for SEC Road Opener
LEXINGTON, Ky. –Kentucky (8-5 1-2 SEC) embarks westward for its first true road matches of the 2026 season, facing No. 20 Oklahoma (10-3, 2-2 SEC) at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, March 6 before heading to Arkansas (11-5, 0-3 SEC) for a 1 p.m. ET contest on Sunday, March 8.

Kentucky is looking to snap a two-match skid in Southeastern Conference play. After defeating Tennessee in its conference opener, the Cats fell in back-to-back matches against No. 16 Texas A&M and No. 16 Florida. Oklahoma will be the third consecutive top 25 opponent for Kentucky and mark the Wildcats’ seventh match against top 25 teams this season. Kentucky is 2-4 in those matches to this point.
In the latest ITA Rankings, Kentucky checked in at No. 37 as a team, the highest mark for the Cats since the computer rankings debuted last month. In singles, No. 24 Eli Stephenson continues to lead the way, with No. 38 Jack Loutit, No. 77 Charlelie Cosnet, and No. 102 Nicolas Arseneault joining him in the listings.
All-Americans Loutit and Stephenson check in at a season-high No. 19 in the latest ITA Doubles Rankings. The No. 1 pairing for Kentucky is undefeated in SEC play and holds a 6-1 mark against ranked opponents this season. On the whole, Kentucky’s doubles lineup has taken the opening point in nine consecutive matches.
Kentucky will be making its first trip to Norman since the Sooners joined the SEC in 2024. Last season, Kentucky won the first conference matchup between the two schools, claiming a 4-1 win over No. 22 Oklahoma in Lexington.
The Wildcats have won eight consecutive matches against Arkansas, dating back to 2021. The last two meetings between the schools in Fayetteville have been close, with Kentucky coming away with 4-3 victories on both occasions.
Kentucky will return to the Boone next weekend, hosting Alabama on Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. ET and No. 19 Auburn on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. ET.
