Wildcats Win Six Events on Final Day of Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats track and field team closed out the 2026 Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational today in Louisville, Ky., improving their event win total to 14 for the two-day meet.

In yesterday’s events, the Wildcats totaled eight event wins, highlighted by freshman Vanice Kerubo Nyagisera and junior Patrick Faust, for the second consecutive meet, breaking the Kentucky school record in the women’s and men’s 600m events, respectively.

The Wildcats kicked off day two of the Rod McCravy Memorial with four consecutive wins during the early portion of the track events, as Sharmelle Holmes took first place in the women’s 60m final, and Emmi Scales and Anthony Waterman completed a Big Blue sweep in the women’s and men’s 60m hurdles finals. Lyric Olson finished atop the leaderboard in the women’s mile event with a time of 4:49.40.

During the afternoon’s field events, senior Theo Mudzengerere broke his career-best mark in the men’s triple jump with a 16.39m/53-09.25 final distance, the second-best mark in program history, a record set by Luke Brown just last season.

Later in the afternoon, three Wildcats placed inside the top 10 finishers in the women’s 300m event, including Hannah Douglas at 37.51, A’Laji Bradley at 38.04 and Briana St. Louis at 38.16.

Senior Ally Kruger claimed the sixth event win of the day for Kentucky in the women’s 3000m race, beating out Cincinnati’s Gwen Stare by 11+ seconds, finishing with a time of 9:29.38.

In the final events of the day, UK placed third in the women’s 4x400m relay with a time of 3:36.82 and second in the men’s 4x400m relay with a time of 3:09.11.
