LEXINGTON, Ky.  — The Kentucky Wildcats women’s tennis program wraps up the fall 2025 individual and doubles season, with Zoe Hammond and Julia Zhu still eyeing a coveted NCAA Singles Championship spot. Hammond and Zhu will compete at the ITA South Sectionals in Baton Rouge on Nov. 6-9, with the rest of the squad in Nashville at the June Stewart Vanderbilt Invitational from Nov. 7-9.

Hammond and Zhu are among 32 qualifiers for the ITA South Sectional Championships in Baton Rouge, hosted by LSU. The top six, or those who reach the quarterfinal round, will earn the last qualifying spots at the NCAA Singles Championship.

Hammond and Zhu will begin play on Thursday morning. Zhu will start the Wildcats off at 10 a.m. EST against Auburn’s Alice Bassetti. Hammond will begin at 12 p.m. EST, taking on Georgia’s [5] Sofia Rojas.

On Friday, the rest of the Wildcats will play at the June Stewart Vanderbilt Invitational. Led by senior Ellie Myers, the girls will compete against Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Purdue, and Lipscomb. There will be a mix of doubles and singles play throughout the weekend.

Friday, the Wildcats will start doubles in Nashville at 11:30 a.m. EST, Saturday with singles at 9:30 a.m. EST, and Sunday with doubles again at 12:30 a.m.

These two competitions are the last guaranteed for the Wildcats this fall before they come back from holiday break next semester for the NCAA Team Championship season.
