Five Wildcats Named to 2025 All-SEC Cross Country Teams
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Following the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships, five Kentucky Wildcats have been named to the 2025 All-SEC Cross Country Teams, per the release from the conference office Monday afternoon.
Freshman Doricah Minsari Isoe highlighted the postseason awards the Cats by being named to her first career All-SEC Team and All-Freshman Team. Minsari Iose has finished inside the top 16 in each of her first three career races, including a 12th-place finish at the conference championships with a 20:27.04 time.
Janet Jepkemboi Amimo joined Minsari Isoe on today’s release by being listed to the All-SEC Third Team after her 20th-place finish in Knoxville with a 20:38.14 time.
Three Wildcats were named to the All-Conference Teams today, including junior Ed Bird and sophomore Collins Kiprop Kipngok being named to the All-SEC Third Team and freshman Levi Kipkurui Bachi to the All-Freshman Team.
At the SEC Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. on Oct. 31, the Wildcats placed eighth in the men’s 8k race and the women’s 6k event, totaling 180 and 193 points, respectively.
The eighth-place finish for the Wildcats is the highest team finish for the women’s squad since the 2022 season, where they finished fourth, highlighted by two top 10 finishers in Perri Bockrath and Tori Herman.
Postseason competition will continue for the Cats, with a trip to Charlottesville, Va. on the horizon for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday, Nov. 14.
