Wildcats Host Georgia State on Senior Night

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (9-2-3, 6-1-0 SBC) are set to close their slate of regular season home games on Friday night, as they take on the Georgia State Panthers (4-5-6, 2-2-3 SBC) in a Halloween matchup at 7 p.m. ET at The Bell.

The Wildcats moved up to No. 18 in the latest poll from the United Soccer Coaches Association earlier this week. Kentucky enters the penultimate week of SBC play coming off two consecutive wins over top 20 opponents in a 2-1 win on the road over No. 20 Georgia Southern and a 1-0 win over No. 10 West Virginia in Lexington.

Kentucky currently sits atop the Sun Belt table with two matches remaining in the regular season, starting with the match against Georgia State tomorrow night and concluding with a trip to Norfolk, Va. to take on the Old Dominion Monarchs on Nov. 4.

The Wildcats earned their first conference weekly honors of the 2025 season on Tuesday with midfielder Kevin Larsson winning SBC Offensive Player of the Week after his two-goal performance against Georgia Southern and assisting on the game-winning-goal against West Virginia.

Georgia State enters the weekend currently sitting in sixth place in the Sun Belt Conference table with nine points, just two points behind fifth place UCF. The Panthers are 1-2-2 in their previous five outings, including a 2-1 upset win over West Virginia in Atlanta on Oct. 18.

Friday night’s match will also feature as the Wildcats senior night, honoring seven seniors, including Max Miller, Marqes Muir, Larsson, Alex Ruiz, Owen Mikoy, Sebastian Conlon and Tiago Honorio Jr.

Kickoff for Kentucky vs. Georgia State is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, streaming on ESPN+. The promotional theme for Friday night’s match is Halloween Night, encouraging fans to support the Cats and wear their favorite costume. Admission to all 2025 Kentucky soccer matches is free to all fans.
