Wildcats Place Fourth in Women’s 6k, Fifth in Men’s 8k at Cowboy Jamboree

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Kentucky Wildcats cross country team completed its third meet of the 2025 season Friday morning in Stillwater, Okla. at the Cowboy Jamboree at the Greiner Family OSU XC Course.

After placing second and third in both the men’s and women’s races in the two opening events of the season, the Wildcats finished fourth in the women’s 6k race with 127 total points and fifth in the men’s 8k with 147 points.

In her first career race, freshman Doricah Minsari Isoe highlighted the Cats finish in the women’s 6k, placing 10^th with a 20:42.2 time. Senior Ally Kruger and sophomore Janet Jepkemboi Amimo, who both finished inside the top 10 at the Tennessee XC Invitational and Southern Showcase to begin the season, placed 16^th and 29^th, respectively, with times of 20:54.9 and 21:23.4. Lyric Olson and Ava Hendren would round out the top five finishers for the Wildcats, placing 44^th and 48^th.

In the men’s 8k, Collins Kiprop Kipngok and Ed Bird finished atop the team leaderboard, 12^th and 13^th overall, with times of 24:05.1 and 24:05.2. After finishing 14^th in his first collegiate race at the Southern Showcase on Sept. 12, freshman Levi Kipkurui Bachi placed 32^nd with a mark of 24:29.5.

The Cats will now have two weeks off before their first of two trips to Columbia, Mo. this season, beginning with the Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 18 at the Cand Creek XC Course, hosted by the University of Missouri.
