Annie Riegert Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior gymnast Annie Riegert was named to the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team, the league office announced Friday. This marks the second consecutive year in which the Mason, Ohio native has received the award.

During her time at Kentucky, Riegert has amassed over 82 hours of community service, including teaching ballet to children with special needs through the Allegro Dance Project and Kentucky Developmental Educational Corporation.

Riegert has also assisted with Sunday school and other youth projects at Southland Christian Church. She has spent numerous hours at a number of elementary schools in the Lexington area. Riegert has also helped with My New Kentucky Home, aiding new student-athletes in their transition to the University of Kentucky. She has volunteered her time with God’s Pantry, Girls on the Run, Kroger, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army.

Riegert was a member of the 2024 SEC Community Service Team and was recently inducted to the Frank G. Ham Society of Character at the University of Kentucky. She garnered WCGA Scholar All-America honors in each of her first three seasons at Kentucky and earned spots on the 2022 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and the 2023 and 2024 Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.

On the competition mat, Riegert has featured in the uneven bars lineup over the past three seasons, holding a career high score of 9.875 from Excite Night 2024 and a season high score from 2025 of 9.850 posted at No. 1 Oklahoma.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. The 2025 SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team is as follows:
