
Kentucky Men’s Soccer Adds Four Signees to 2025 Spring Roster
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer head coach Johan Cedergren announced Friday afternoon the additions of four new signees to the 2025 roster, with goalkeeper Sebastian Conlon and defenders Dan McHale, Luke Shreiner and Sinan Solmaz joining the Wildcats for the spring season.
Conlon is a junior goalkeeper from Reston, Virginia, transferring from Sun Belt foe James Madison. In his three seasons with the Dukes, Conlon recorded 183 saves in 58 starts and 5,151 total minutes between the posts. He currently ranks ninth in JMU program history in clean sheets with 16, with eight coming during the 2024 season. Following his junior year, Conlon was named 2024 Sun Belt Goalkeeper of the Year and listed to the All-Sun Belt First Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Team.
McHale is a freshman defender from Dublin, Ireland. He joins the Wildcats for his first collegiate season after playing for St. Patrick’s Athletic FC from 2022-2024 and the Republic of Ireland’s U17 squad just last season.
Shreiner is a sophomore defender, transferring from Dallas, Texas. Shreiner joins Kentucky from Northwestern after one season with the Wildcats, appearing in 13 matches during his freshman season, starting in three. He produced two assists and two points, logging 386 total minutes, including a season-high 90 at Indiana (10/29).
Solmaz, hailing from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, comes to Lexington after two seasons at CSU Bakersfield. In 2024, he played and started in all 16 matches, logged the full 90 minutes in each appearance. Following his sophomore season, Solmaz earned First Team All-Big West and CSC Academic All-District honors.
