Team Records and Series Notes 

  • Kentucky improved to 18-2 overall and 7-1 in the Southeastern Conference, while Alabama is 17-5 overall and 4-4 in the SEC.
    • The Wildcats are 3-1 against Associated Press Top 25 teams this season.
      • The Cats have defeated all three of those opponents by at least nine points.
    • The Wildcats tied their best 20-game start to a season in program history (18-2). The Cats also accomplished that feat in 1982-83, 2011-12 and 2012-13.
  • The Wildcats are 12-0 at home, the eighth best home court win streak in program history.
    • It is their best home court win streak in the same season since a 18-game win streak spanning the entire season in 2011-12.
    • It is their best home court win streak not in the same season since a 13-game win streak from March 2014-January 2015.
  • UK has a 540-199 all-time record at home.
    • UK has a 500-172 all-time record inside Historic Memorial Coliseum.
  • The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program is in its 51st season of varsity status.
    • UK has a 924-610 all-time record.
  • Kenny Brooks is in his first season as the head coach of the Wildcats, holding a 18-2 record in Blue and White.
    • He is 535-206 (.722) in his 23rd overall season as a head coach.
  • Kentucky leads Alabama in the all-time series, 40-19, including 17-7 in Lexington.

  • Kentucky used the starting combination Georgia Amoore, Dazia Lawrence, Amelia Hassett, Teonni Key and Clara Strack for the 20th straight game.
    • UK is 18-2 when using that starting combination.
  • The Wildcats lost the opening tip.
  • Georgia Amoore was the first player to score for Kentucky for the fifth time this season.
  • Saniah Tyler was the first substitute off the bench for Kentucky for the second time this season.
  • This is the 17th win this season that Kentucky has won by at least nine points.
  • This is the seventh win in league action that Kentucky has won by at least nine points.
    • This is the second team in program history to win each of their first seven league games by at least nine points (also including 2009-10, 2024-25).
  • Tonight’s game marked the first time Kentucky has held two AP Top 25 opponents to 56 points or less in a pair of wins in a single season since 2012-13.
  • Kentucky held Alabama to 56 points, the fewest amount of points it has held an AP Top 25 opponents to since also keeping No. 16 Tennessee to 56 on Feb. 11, 2021.

  • Clara Strack, sophomore center, had 14 points and 14 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season and her second straight.
    • She has scored 10+ points in 17 games this season.
    • She has grabbed 10+ rebounds in 11 games this season.
    • She added three assists and one block.
      • She has made at least one assist in every game this season.
      • She has made at least one block in 19 of her 20 games this season.
    • Strack, who also had 25 points and 15 rebounds against No. 19/19 Illinois, is the only UK player since 2002-03 to have at least 14 points and 14 rebounds in two wins over AP Top 25 opponents in a single season.
  • Georgia Amoore, graduate guard, had a team-high 16 points.
    • She has scored 10+ points in 19 games this season.
      • She has scored 15+ points in 15 games this season.
    • She added nine assists and three rebounds.
      • She eclipsed 800 assists for her career.
        • She remains the only active player in DI – men or women – to have 2,000 career points and 800 career assists.
      • She has recorded at least nine assists in eight games this season.
        • She has recorded at least eight assists in 13 games this season.
      • She recorded her 12th game of the season with at least 15 points and five assists.
    • Amelia Hassett, junior forward, had 11 points.
      • She has scored 10+ points in 11 games this season.
      • She added seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
    • Dazia Lawrence, a graduate guard, had 10 points.
      • She has scored 10+ points in 14 games this season.
      • She went 3-of-6 from the arc.
        • She has made at least three 3-pointers in 10 games this season, including the last two straight.
