UKXC Embarks Upon Final Regular Season Test at Bama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Kentucky cross country teams will face their final tests of the regular season on Friday at Alabama’s Crimson Classic.
The men’s 8,000-meter race will begin at 10 a.m. ET., and the women’s 6k will start at 10:45 a.m. at the Harry Pritchett Course.
Teams at the Crimson Classic include hosts Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt.

The Kentucky men’s team is led by junior Jacob Thomson who earned SEC Runner of the Week after each of his two previous competitions this season.
Brennan Fields has been named SEC Freshman of the Week twice this season as well.
Each earned their honor for the second time this season.
Katy Kunc has led the way for the UK women’s team thus far this year.

Kunc, a 2015 USTFCCCA All-Region selection, won the first two meets of the year and placed third at the Texas A&M Invitational two weeks ago.
Friday’s races will be the Wildcats final outing before the Southeastern Conference Championships, hosted by Arkansas in two weeks.
