Kentucky Volleyball Announces 2024 SEC Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Volleyball team announced its 2024 Southeastern Conference schedule Wednesday morning, as the countdown to first serve of the season continues.
Kentucky will be playing new SEC members Texas and Oklahoma in Lexington this season with both the Sooners and Longhorns making the trip to newly-renovated Memorial Coliseum during their inaugural season in the league.
The SEC schedule is a single round robin plus two, as every team will play a 16-match league schedule with each team playing each other at least one time and getting two teams twice. For 2024, Kentucky will face off twice, both home and away, with Missouri and Georgia.
League action kicks off on Sept. 27 on The Plains in Auburn, Alabama against the Tigers followed a trip to The Swamp for an opening-weekend clash against the Florida Gators on Sept. 29 in Gainesville. The first SEC match inside newly-renovated Memorial Coliseum will be Wednesday night as the calendar flips to October, on Oct. 2 against Oklahoma to kick off a three-game homestand against OU, Missouri (Oct. 6) and back-to-back national champions, Texas, on Oct. 13.
A season-long five-match road swing then follows for the Wildcats with trips to five cities and matchups against Tennessee (Oct. 16), Alabama (Oct. 20), Ole Miss (Oct. 27), South Carolina (Nov. 1) and Georgia (Nov. 3). After the five-game road stretch, UK will go five matches in Lexington uninterrupted beginning Nov. 8 vs. Texas A&M in a swing that highlights matches with LSU, Georgia, Mississippi State and Arkansas.
The league season concludes Wednesday, November 27 against Missouri on the road the day before Thanksgiving.
Kentucky’s non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
