Gymnastics Prepares to Rock Rupp Arena Against Missouri
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 5 Kentucky gymnastics (5-2, 3-1 SEC) will take on No. 12 Missouri (6-1, 2-1 SEC) for a 7 p.m. EST contest at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center for Rockstar Night.
The Wildcats are coming off their first ever victory on the road at No. 7 Alabama, once again making history this season. Team 50 defeated the Crimson Tide 197.600-196.975. Fifth-year senior Raena Worley earned her second consecutive perfect 10.000 on the floor exercise and 24th career all-around title.
Missouri enters Friday’s matchup with a non-conference victory on the road at Texas Women’s, 197.025-195.475.
Kentucky last competed against Mizzou in the 2023 regular season defeating the Tigers in Columbia, Mo., 197.275-196.625. The Tigers were last in Lexington, Ky. competing at Memorial Coliseum in 2022 where the Wildcats came out on top, 197.450-196.875.
Friday’s theme, Rockstar Night, will feature a variety of giveaways and promotions. The first 250 kids will receive blue heart-shaped glasses while custom friendship bracelets will be available while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to bring their own friendship bracelets to exchange. QR codes will be posted in the lobby and screens to enter giveaways for custom Wildcat Tour crewneck sweatshirts and American Girl Dolls.
