Women’s Tennis Announces 2024 Spring Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis has announced its 2024 spring schedule which will feature 10 home matches and 11 on the road prior to the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Athens, Ga. beginning April 17.
The spring will kick off with three consecutive matches at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. Kentucky will host ETSU and Miami (Ohio) for a double header on Jan. 14 followed by Penn State on Jan. 20.
The Wildcats will then travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the ITA Kickoff. The two-day kickoff (Jan. 26-27) will feature matches against Charlotte, UNC and Oregon.
February will begin with a road trip to New York, N.Y. where the Cats will take on Columbia (Feb. 2) followed by Princeton (Feb. 4) before returning home for a matchup against Wichita State (Feb. 9). Those who qualify will head to Seattle, Wash. for the ITA National Indoor Championships (Feb. 9-12). The final non-conference match of the spring will be against in-state foe Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 17.
Following a short break, SEC play will begin on March 1 at Auburn and at Alabama on March 3. The Cats will return to Lexington to host Vanderbilt (March 10), Mississippi State (March 15) and Ole Miss (March 17). UK will then travel to the Bayou to face LSU on March 22. The next leg of the schedule will hold an away match at Texas A&M (March 24) and home matches against Missouri (March 29), Arkansas (March 31), South Carolina (April 5) and Florida (April 7).
The final two matches of the spring will take place at Tennessee (April 12) and Georgia (April 14) before the SEC Tournament which will run through April 17-21.
