DeLeye AVCA Region Freshman of the Year, Four Others Honored
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Volleyball freshman Brookyln DeLeye became the fourth Kentucky player to win the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association Region Freshman of the Year on Tuesday as she headlined five Wildcat players to make the AVCA All-Region Team. She joins a prestigious list of All-Americans with Emma Grome, Madison Lilley and Leah Edmond being the other three.
DeLeye joins teammates Eleanor Beavin, Emma Grome, Reagan Rutherford and Azhani Tealer on the AVCA’s All-Southeast Region Team comprised of teams from the SEC, Atlantic Sun, Big South, Southern Conference, SWAC and Sun Belt.

By qualifying for the all-region team, the players are now considered eligible to be named AVCA All-Americans later this month in Tampa.
Kentucky Volleyball in Rupp Arena
UK Athletics announced earlier this spring that Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center will serve as the primary home venue for the Kentucky gymnastics, volleyball and women’s basketball teams for the 2023-24 season while Memorial Coliseum undergoes an $82 million renovation.
