Wildcats Release Nonconference Promotional Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program announced its promotional schedule for the nonconference season Thursday, which features several decade-themed games to continue its ongoing celebration of its 50th anniversary of varsity status.

Wednesday, November 1 at 11 a.m. vs. Kentucky State (EXH)
Rupp Arena

• Free admission to all fans; no ticket required.
• Education Day: UK Athletics is thrilled to welcome 5th graders from across Central Kentucky. In conjunction with Education Day, UK Athletics also will provide classrooms with basic college-prep information. Schools interested should contact Emma Anderson at emma.anderson224@uky.edu.

Tuesday, November 7 at 7 p.m. vs. ETSU
Clive M. Beck Center

• Voting Day: In honor of Voting Day, fans will have the opportunity to “vote” on various elements throughout the game, including the music, the halftime game and more!

Saturday, November 11 at TBA vs. USC Upstate
Rupp Arena

• Free admission to all fans; no ticket required.
• Tie-dye scrunchie giveaway for the first 250 fans
• Kentucky women’s basketball’s Salute to Veterans Night on Veteran’s Day: The Wildcats will honor service members for their sacrifice.

Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m. vs. Austin Peay
David-Reid Alumni Gym

• Tie-dye scrunchie giveaway for the first 250 fans
• 70s Night: Go back in time with the women’s basketball program, as Kentucky celebrates its greatest moments from its first decade of varsity status. Expect to jam all evening to the best 70s tunes, too!

• Wildcat Games: Big Blue Nation will need to put on its “game face” for head-to-head fan competitions in honor of the SEC / ACC Challenge.

• Shoot Your Shot Day: Shoot Your Shot upon entry into the Kentucky-Tennessee Tech game for a free polaroid photo! Also, gear up to Shoot Your Shot during the on-court fan games during timeouts.

• Neon belt bag giveaway for the first 500 fans
• 80s Night: Go back in time with the women’s basketball program, as Kentucky celebrates its greatest moments from its second decade of varsity status. Expect to jam all evening to the best 80s tunes, too!

Sunday, December 17 at 1 p.m. vs. Furman

• Holiday Game: Fans are encouraged to wear their tackiest holiday sweater and join the women’s basketball players and staff for an afternoon celebrating the holiday season.

• 50th Anniversary: The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program will celebrate its 50th anniversary of varsity status in 2023-24. Throughout the season, the program will acknowledge and honor the impressive people and the memorable moments that influenced its rich history.
• Birthday Party: A $150 package that includes 20 discounted tickets to a game of your choice at Rupp Arena, a UK sh­­eet cake, designated tables and chairs on the concourse pregame for your celebration, a signed card from head coach Kyra Elzy, a videoboard recognition and public address shoutout and poms to cheer on the Wildcats!
