LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Randolph Morris had 23 points and a career-high 13 rebounds as Kentucky stretched its winning streak to four games with a 74-60 victory over Santa Clara Tuesday night.

It was the third double-double of the season for the Kentucky center, who picked up four fouls and was held to a season-low two points Saturday in the Wildcats’ victory over rival Louisville.

With two Santa Clara starters measuring at 6-foot-11, Kentucky (8-3) needed its big man to stay out of foul trouble and contribute this time. Morris did both.

He drew only one foul late in the game when Kentucky had a comfortable 11-point lead. He made 10 of 18 shots to match the season-high 23 points he scored earlier this season in a loss at North Carolina.

Mitch Henke had 17 points to lead Santa Clara (8-4).

With the Broncos ahead 23-22 late in the first half, Joe Crawford banked in a layup from beneath the basket, putting Kentucky ahead for good. Morris scored the next six points on the drive.

Santa Clara scored the last five points of the half to pull to 30-28 and came within one with 14 minutes left in the game on a jumper by Danny Pariseau.

But Morris answered with a jumper of his own a minute later, then came up with a critical steal to keep the Broncos from regaining the lead.

Freshman Derrick Jasper put the game out of reach with six minutes left when he took an under-the-basket pass from Joe Crawford, scored on the layup, drew a foul and connected on the 3-point play.
