Team Records and Series Notes   

• The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program is in its 49th season with an 892-584 (.604) all-time record.    
  • The Wildcats are now 10-15 overall and 2-11 in the league.  
  • The Lady Bulldogs are now 18-9 overall and 7-6 in the league. 
• Kentucky trails the all-time meetings with Georgia, 22-40, in a series that began in 1980.  
  •  UGA leads UK in games played in Lexington, 15-12. 
• Kyra Elzy is in her third season as the head coach of the Wildcats, holding a 47-36 overall record.   
  • She has a 19-25 overall record in the SEC. 
• Kentucky will begin a two-game road stretch, beginning with Vanderbilt on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. ET at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee.  
  • The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+. 

Team Notes   

• Kentucky used the starting combination Jada Walker, Kennedy Cambridge, Blair Green, Nyah Levereter and Adebola Adeyeye for the first time this season. UK is 0-1 using that starting combination.   
  • This was the first collegiate start of Kennedy Cambridge’s career. 
  • Maddie Scherr (illness) and Robyn Benton (ankle) were unavailable. 
  • Georgia won the opening tip.  
  • Jada Walker was the first Kentucky player to score. 
  • Eniya Russell was the first substitute off the bench for Kentucky for the first time this season. 
• Kentucky led Georgia, 7-6, by the first media timeout (4:01), on just 3-of-10 shooting from the floor. 
  • Out of the timeout, the Wildcats forced the Bulldogs to commit their third turnover of the game, as the Cats scored one point off a free throw from that miscue.  
  • Georgia would rally a jumper on its next possession, but Kentucky would immediately answer, thanks to a Blair Green 3-pointer, to stretch its lead to 11-8 with two minutes and 47 seconds remaining in the first quarter. 
  • Both teams would go scoreless for nearly two minutes, until Georgia went on a 5-0 run in the final minute and nine second of the first quarter to take its first lead in the game since the eighth minute.  
  • Georgia led Kentucky, 13-11, at the end of the first quarter.  
• It was a low scoring period for the first seven minutes and three seconds of the third quarter, with UK narrowly outscoring UGA, 5-2, in that time. During that stretch, UK regained the lead at 5:17, thanks to back-to-back layups by Ajae Petty. 
  • Neither team scored from 5:17 until 2:57, until the Lady Bulldogs broke the drought at on a jumper.  
    • That bucket turned into a 6-0 run to close out the first half. 
  • Georgia led Kentucky, 21-16, at halftime.  
• Both teams traded buckets to begin the third quarter, 5-5, as the Cats held the Dogs to 2-of-9 from the floor in the first five minutes and 12 seconds. Kentucky did commit four turnovers in that time, making 16 in the game. UGA led UK, 26-21, by the first media timeout of the third quarter (4:56). 
  • Out of the timeout, Georgia used the final four minutes and 56 seconds of the third quarter to go on a 12-2 run, which included a pair of 3-pointers on their last two makes of the period. 
  • Georgia led Kentucky, 38-23, at the end of the third quarter. 
• The Wildcats outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 7-2, in the first two minutes and 19 seconds of the fourth quarter. Jada Walker began the final stanza with a layup, then after a Georgia make, Adebola Adeyeye knocked down a pair of free throws and then Green drained a 3-pointer. It helped Kentucky cut Georgia’s lead to 40-30, as UGA called a timeout.  
  • Out of the timeout, Adeyeye made a second-chance jumper. 
  • The Wildcats’ scoring series would continue, ultimately going on a 13-2 run over the first six minutes and 23 seconds of the fourth quarter. 
    • That 13-2 run helped the Wildcats to get within four points of the Lady Bulldogs, 36-40, with three-and-a-half minutes remaining. 
  • Georgia scored just its second field goal of the fourth quarter at 3:21, then Adeyeye responded with a strong layup.  
  • Again, UGA answered with a layup, which was the start of an 8-2 run to close out the game. 
  • Georgie defeated Kentucky, 50-40. 
• Kentucky outrebounded Georgia, 43-30, while also defeating UGA in second-chance points, 8-6. 

Player Notes   

• Graduate guard Blair Green led all Wildcats with 12 points, making three 3-pointers for the second time in the last four games.  
  • It was her tenth game of the season in double digit scoring.  
  • It was the third time this season, and sixth in her career, that she led Kentucky in scoring. 
  • She has hit a three-pointer in 11 out of the last 15 games. 
  • She also had season-high tying three assists and a rebound. 
• Graduate forward Adebola Adeyeye logged her first double-double as a Wildcat, recording 11 points and 10 rebounds. 
  • It marked the seventh double-double of her career, with the previous six occuring furing her four years at Buffalo. 
  • Her five offensive rebounds were a season high. 
  • She also notched two assists and a steal. 
• In her first career start, freshman guard Kennedy Cambridge had a career-high tying eight rebounds. 
  • She tied her career-high for offensive and defensive rebounds, with four each. Those marks were set in the last meeting against Georgia. 
  • She logged a career-high 32 minutes, shattering her previous high of 22 set against South Carolina on Jan. 12. 
  • She also logged an assist and a block. 
• Sophomore guard Jada Walker scored eight points. 
  • She added three rebounds, an assist and a steal. 
  • Walker, who leads the conference in steals, has had at least one steal in 12 straight games. 
• Freshman guard Amiya Jenkins tied a career-high with four rebounds. 
  • She also added three points and a steal. 
• Junior forward Nyah Leveretter notched seven rebounds to go along with a career-high three assists and two points.
