Daniel Harris IV Named to CoSida Academic All-District Team
Graduate senior Daniel Harris IV has been voted to the 2022 Academic All-District Team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He now will be eligible to make the Academic All-America teams that are announced later this month.
The honor recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSida Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Kentucky’s district includes schools from Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Harris, from Stone Mountain, Georgia, transferred to UK last summer from Eastern Kentucky University. He has earned a 4.0 grade point average while receiving his graduate certificate in sports, fitness and recreation management. He achieved a 3.8 cumulative undergraduate GPA while at Eastern.
Harris ranks second on the team at .316 in 158 at-bats with 31 runs, 10 extra-base hits and 25 RBI. He has stolen 12 bases in 12 attempts this season.
