LEXINGTON, Ky. The final midweek regular season home game kicks off a week where No. 13 Kentucky closes out the month of April looking for momentum heading into the home stretch. On Wednesday, the Wildcats host a Morehead State club that has serious thump in its batting order, having hit 83 doubles, 10 triples and 51 home runs this season. Missouri then comes calling this weekend in a series the Cats must have to remain in the race for hosting an NCAA regional.

The Eagles feature one of the nation’s top power hitters in Niko Hulsizer, who hit 27 home runs and drove in 82 runs in 2017 as part of a season with 50 extra-base hits. He missed a month earlier this season but still has 13 extra-base hits (7 HRs) in just 76 at bats. Braxton Morris (.408 avg.) and Trevor Snyder (10 HRs) also are serious threats.

UK picked up a critical win over No. 1 Florida on Saturday with Justin Lewis spinning 8.0 masterful innings, earning SEC Pitcher of the Week honors along the way. The Cats’ offense is looking for a breakout after being a slowed a bit the past two weeks.

First pitch on Wednesday is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on SECN+ viathe WatchESPN app. Darren Headrick will have the radio call for the Cats on 630 AM WLAP/ukathletics.com.
