UKTF Quarter-Milers Sweep SEC Freshman of the Week Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sydney McLaughlin and Dwight St. Hillaire pulled off a sweep of the Southeastern Conference’s Freshman of the Week honors for the Kentucky track and field program on Tuesday.
 
St. Hillaire earned the honor for the second time this season, while McLaughlin picked up the accolade for the first time.
 
McLaughlin ran a nation-leading 51.44 to win the 400 meters at the home McCravy Memorial on Saturday.
 
McLaughlin set both the Kentucky and the UK freshman record in her collegiate 400m debut.
 
St. Hillaire ran 46.20 to win the 400m at the McCravy. The time ranks fifth in the SEC this year.
 
He set the UK freshman record and now stands No. 2 on the all-time UK performers’ list.
 
St. Hillaire set the UK freshman record in the 200m earlier this season.
