INDIANAPOLIS, In., – Kentucky men’s swimming completed the 2024 NCAA Championships with all three representatives, Ryan Merani, Carson Hick and Levi Sandidge, earning top-24 finishes on Saturday at the IU Natatorium.

To start the day for Kentucky, sophomore Merani placed 18th in the 200 yard butterfly, the highest finish of the week for the Wildcats. He improved 20 spots from his freshman debut in the 2023 Championship. His 1:41.79 swim in the race was also his personal best pace, and is the second fastest time in the event in UK program history.

In the afternoon session, both Hick and Sandidge competed in the 1650 freestyle. Hick concluded his freshman season with a 19th place finish in the event, with a time of 14:49.15. Sandidge’s 14:51.12 swim finished just a few places behind him, in 24th.
