Max Miller Named First Team All-Southeast Region

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer sophomore Max Miller was named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s All-Southeast Region, United Soccer Coaches announced Thursday.

Miller, a captain on this year’s Wildcat squad, earned Sun Belt Conference Second Team recognition at the conclusion of the 2023 regular season. He was also named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Men’s Team of the Week in October which was the Lexington native’s first honor of the season. The defender led the 2023 squad in assists with a total of seven which was more than double his freshman tally.

“Really happy Max earned this recognition,” said head coach Johan Cedergren. “His leadership on and off the field has not gone unnoticed by myself and our staff, so it’s great to see it awarded in this way.”

Miller was named to the preseason all-conference team ahead of the 2023 match slate. In his sophomore season, he played in all 20 matches recording 20 starts. In addition to his contribution of seven assists, Miller also recorded 14 shots with three on goal.
