MEN’S BASKETBALL – SPECIAL EVENTS

SEC Tournament – March 8-12, 2023: Bridgestone Arena – Nashville, TN

An in-person student lottery was held on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 at Memorial Coliseum. There was no online component to this lottery. The lottery is now closed. Student tickets are now sold out for the SEC Tournament as of 3/7/23. If UK were to advance to the Championship game on Sunday, 3/12, an additional 50 tickets will be made available in Nashville on a first come, first served basis.

  • 130 student tickets will be available for sessions that UK may play in, Wednesday through Saturday, of the SEC Tournament. These are standing-room-only tickets on the floor at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
  • At the lottery, approximately 65 numbers will be drawn (for a total of 130 students). The first 20 numbers selected will be from those who made a student K Fund contribution when season football and men’s basketball passes were available in July/August 2022.
  • The remaining numbers will be drawn from all students in attendance. If you are selected at the lottery, you may choose one other student (who must also be present at the lottery) to receive tickets with you.
  • All lottery winners must be full-time for the Spring 2023 semester. Full-time status will be verified at the lottery for those students selected.
  • The 130 winners will be charged $10 for the first session UK will play in at the SEC Tournament. As UK advances in the tournament, cards on file will be charged after a win for the next round game. Students must provide a credit/debit card to put on file at the lottery.
  • Should Kentucky advance to the Championship game on Sunday, 50 additional tickets will be made available to UK students on a first-come, first-served basis in Nashville.

NCAA Tournament Student Tickets – March 14 – April 3: Locations TBD

  • Tickets will not be available for students for the NCAA Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds. Should Kentucky advance to a Regional or Final Four, ticket information will be available at a later date.

OVERVIEW & OPTIONS

The following ticket options will be available for 2022-2023:

  • BBN Student 8-Game Football Pass (SOLD OUT): a season pass that guarantees admission for all home football games, provided the student claims a ticket during specified windows.
  • BBN Student 7-Game Football Pass (SOLD OUT): a season pass that guarantees admission for all home football games with the exception of the Georgia game, provided the student claims a ticket during specified windows. A 7-game season pass was created to accommodate students that were not selected for an 8-game season pass after demand for season passes exceeded supply. Due to limited inventory for the Georgia game, 7-game season pass holders will not have access to claim a ticket; however, they will still be given the opportunity to purchase a student single game ticket, based on availability. If you are unsure which pass you received, please email StudentTickets@uky.edu.
  • BBN Student Basketball Pass (SOLD OUT): a season pass that guarantees admission* for all home men’s basketball games, provided the student claims a ticket during specified windows.
  • Single-game student tickets ($11-$15 each): a limited number of football and men’s basketball single-game tickets will be available for students who do not wish to purchase a season pass or are unable to do so.
  • Single-game guest tickets (prices vary): based on availability after students have access to purchase tickets; do not require a student ID for admission.
  • Student K Fund Gift ($25 – optional): When requesting either a football and/or basketball pass, students may also add a K Fund gift to further invest in the success of UK Athletics and help support 500+ student-athletes. Learn more about the K Fund in the FAQ below!

*For select early season & holiday break men’s basketball games, admission is not guaranteed; however, pass holders will have priority access to claim tickets.

SEASON PASS CLAIM PROCESS (Football & Men’s Basketball)

  • Students with football and/or basketball passes are guaranteed tickets when claimed via the UK Athletics App during the Pass Priority Claim window. View the calendars below to learn when the priority claim window opens for each game or set of games.
    • Please note that UK Athletics has released a brand new mobile app in recent weeks! iPhone users will need to check that their app is up to date. You can check for updates in the App Store. Android users will need to delete the original UK Athletics app completely. Once the app has been deleted, the new UK Athletics app can be downloaded in the Google Play Store. The new app icon will look identical to the original app. Please also note that when you use the new app for the first time, you may be prompted to set up an app profile. The app profile is optional and is separate from your ticketing account.
  • Prior to each home game, there is an online process for student pass holders to claim a ticket during a designated claim window in order to attend the game.
  • The claim process is REQUIRED for student pass holders who wish to attend. This is to maximize the number of ticket opportunities throughout the season for all students. Pass holders who wish to attend a particular game are strongly encouraged to claim their ticket when the claim window opens. Not coming to a particular game? Don’t claim your ticket! Claiming a ticket but letting it go unused prevents another student from being able to attend. Unclaimed tickets will be opened up for other students to purchase on a single-game basis.

TICKET DELIVERY & SEATING

BASKETBALL:

  • All student tickets will be accessed via mobile delivery through the UK Athletics App by selecting the “Tickets” tab, tapping “Student Tickets Central” and signing in to My UK Athletics Student Account
  • New for the 2022-23 men’s basketball season, SafeTix has been implemented. To fight fraud, Ticketmaster launched SafeTix™, which uses an encrypted barcode that automatically refreshes every 15 seconds so the barcode cannot be stolen and used by another fan. Your mobile tickets will now show a unique barcode with a blue line running across it, and they will convert to a tap-and-go ticket when stored in your phone’s digital wallet. The process for accessing mobile tickets has not changed; however, with SafeTix™, screenshots or recordings of tickets will no longer work for entry. This enhancement protects against digital tickets being copied and sold multiple times by fraudulent resellers.
    • Tickets may be electronically transferred to other UK students once barcodes are available, which allows greater flexibility and the opportunity to give your ticket to another UK student if you cannot attend. Students are discouraged from purchasing tickets from anyone besides the UK Ticket Office or close friends to limit any fraud or counterfeit purchases. Screenshots of mobile tickets are not accepted at the gate.
  • For more information on SafeTix, visit www.UKathletics.com/MobileTickets.
  • Ticket barcodes will be available approx. 48 hours prior to each game.
  • Students are highly encouraged to access their tickets prior to arriving at Rupp Arena and save them in their Apple Wallet or Google Pay account for easier entry.

BASKETBALL SEATING:

  • ERUPPtion Zone:
    • The eRUPPtion Zone is a standing-room only area with limited space directly behind the basket. Want to be close to the action? Choose eRUPPtion Zone when claiming or purchasing your ticket! The Big Blue Nation crowd feeds off the eRUPPtion Zone energy that make it hard for opposing teams when they play in Rupp Arena and give our Wildcats the home-court advantage they deserve!
    • Students that choose eRUPPtion Zone in the claim or purchase process will be issued a wristband upon arrival that grants them access to the standing room only area.
  • Reserved Seating:
    • Reserved seats in the lower level (sections 33-34) and the upper level (sections 238-241) will be issued on a first come-first served basis to students that choose Reserved seating in the claim or purchase process
    • Students will receive a specific section, row, and seat upon arrival. To sit with your party, arrive at the game at the same time!

Entry:

  • NEW Student Entrance: High Street (glass doors directly across from the Gate 2 parking lot). This is a student-only entrance. Students with student and/or student-guest tickets must enter here. Student tickets require a student ID for entry. Student-guest tickets do not require a student ID for entry and allow for access into the student section. Choose between eRUPPtion Zone or Reserved seats when claiming or purchasing your ticket! Those with Reserved seats will receive a specific section, row, and seat upon arrival. ERUPPtion Zone is a standing-room only area behind the basket.
  • Please have your student ID ready to present and student ticket ready to be scanned for an efficient entry experience for all students and guests

FAQ

I am having trouble signing in to My UK Athletics Student Account. How do I resolve this?
  • Are you using the direct link in the table above to place your request?
  • Is your request window open? Check the table above, based on your last name. Do not attempt to login until your window is actually open. Remember, there is no advantage to being the first or last student to request season passes during the week of July 25-29.
  • Are you using the email address that we have on file? This will be communicated to you via email in advance of July 25. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT; one has already been set up for all UK students registered for classes.
    • If this is your first time logging in, or you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot Password?” and enter the email address we have on file. It may be a school email or personal email, whichever one the Registrar’s Office sent us.
    • You may receive an error message saying “Email Not Found: Sorry, we don’t see a Ticketmaster account with that email. Please double-check your entry and try again. Don’t have an account? Sign Up.” Click “Sign Up” and fill in the information necessary to finalize your account set up.
  • If you are unsure of your login information, please email StudentTickets@uky.edu with your full name, UK student ID number, and preferred email address. Your login information is unique to UK Athletics and is not the same as your University of Kentucky myUK username and password. • We encourage you to test your log-in prior to the week of July 25 by visiting My UK Athletics Student Account.
What if I buy a season pass and can't attend all games?

If you are unable to attend a game after you have claimed a ticket, you may transfer your ticket to another UK student once you have received your ticket barcode. To help us create the best game day atmosphere for our teams, we encourage you to make sure that any tickets you claim are actually used!

How do I sit with my friends at events?

Since seating is not assigned until arrival, you will still be able to sit with your friends, given you claim the same area and enter the venue together.

What if I purchase a season pass and don't claim during my specified window?

Ticket claim windows will be communicated prior to the start of each season, and a full calendar of claim dates by sport will be posted here by mid-August. If you miss a specified priority window, you will still have the opportunity to claim a ticket on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last, prior to the event.

Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?

Once you have received your ticket barcode, you may electronically transfer your ticket to another UK student. The receiving student must be eligible for student tickets (full-time status) and have a valid UK student ID for entry. New for the 2022-23 season, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted at the point of entry due to SafeTix being implemented. To fight fraud, Ticketmaster launched SafeTix™, which uses an encrypted barcode that automatically refreshes every 15 seconds so the barcode cannot be stolen and used by another fan. For more information on SafeTix, visit www.UKathletics.com/MobileTickets.

When will single-game student tickets go on sale?

Guest tickets may not be available for every game, and prices will vary.

Who is eligible to purchase student tickets?

What if I will only be a full-time student for the fall semester?

Students may request a BBN Student Football Pass as well as single-game men’s basketball tickets, based on availability. Students must remain full-time in order to utilize student tickets.

Are student passes refundable?

Student passes are non-refundable. However, students who drop below full-time status or those who will no longer be attending UK, and therefore are no longer eligible, may request a refund through Tuesday, August 30. Refunds must be requested in writing to StudentTickets@uky.edu and include the student’s full name, UK student ID number, and reason for the request. Service charges are non-refundable.

What if I require ADA (wheelchair accessible) seating?

UK Athletics will make every effort to accommodate patrons with disabilities, based on seating availability. Students who require accessible seating should contact the UK Ticket Office at (800) 928-2287 (Option 2) upon claiming a Pass ticket or purchasing a single-game student or guest ticket. Please contact the ticket office at least three business days prior to the event.

What is the K Fund and what student benefits are associated with making a $25 gift?

The K Fund is the fundraising arm of the UK Athletics Department, responsible for providing the resources necessary to ensure our student-athletes have the opportunity to earn a first-class education and compete for championships. These resources are provided through student-athlete scholarships, state-of-the-art facilities and the financial support essential for UK Athletics’ 23 varsity sport programs to excel. Students investing with a $25 gift will receive five K Fund bonus points that can be used after graduation to build their donor priority ranking, should they choose to become full season ticket holders. Students will also receive priority access to postseason football and men’s basketball tickets, based on availability. Other opportunities may be provided throughout the season!
