Kalon Humphries enters his first season as a graduate assistant for defense at Kentucky where he will primarily work with the defensive line and assistant coach Anwar Stewart.
Came to Kentucky after two seasons as an assistant coach for the defensive line at Heidelberg University, a Division III program, located in Tiffin, Ohio
Prior to Heidelberg, spent two seasons (2018-19) at Iowa State, first as a defensive graduate assistant and then a defensive quality control coach
While at Iowa State, helped tutor defensive linemen and All-Big 12 honorees Ray Lima and Jaquan Bailey.
Served as an assistant defensive line coach at Morehead State in 2017
Also had stints at Independence Community College (Independence, Kansas) as an offensive line coach in 2017 and Walled Lake Western High School (Walled Lake, Michigan) in 2015-16
Played center on the offensive line at Adrian College (Adrian, Michigan) as a freshman in 2012, helping the Bulldogs win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA)
Transferred to Michigan as a preferred walk-on as a sophomore but suffered an injury that ended his playing career
The Novi, Mich., native, graduated from Michigan in 2016 with a degree in political science
