Bethany Wiegand is in her fourth season with the UK softball team and third year as a manager. In her freshman year, Wiegand played for the Wildcats and appeared in two games as a relief pitcher while tallying three at-bats.

Wiegand earned three varsity letters at Ursuline Academy in softball and was named to the Southwest District All-Ohio team in 1998. In 1997 and 1998, she earned Southwest District ALl-Star honors.

Wiegand is a business marketing major and will assist Coach Kirchner in helping to manage equipment, field setup, practice duties, and statistics.

Kirchner on Wiegand: “Bethany does a super job for us. She is willing to do whatever we ask and is able to really make significant coaching contributions. She will make an excellent softball coach.”
