Weeks later clinched the upset against No. 10 Texas A&M with a three-set, tiebreak win on the sixth court … Clinched SEC Tournament win over Tennessee with a three-set tiebreak win on the sixth court … Paired with Ryotaro Matsumura and Kevin Lai in doubles … Won B Doubles Flight at Louisville Invitational in the fall, playing alongside Jake Stefanik.

Hussey was ranked as the top player in the state of Kentucky in 2014, and reached as high as No. 35 in the 2014 national rankings for TennisRecruiting.net. Hussey was the 2013 Kentucky High School state champion and finished in the top 25 nationally in the United States Tennis Association’s Boy’s 16’s rankings. Hussey also has strong marks in premier tournaments, as he finished in the top eight at the 2013 Easter Bowl, as well as finishing in the final 16 of the 2013 Orange Bowl. The Edgewood, Ky., and Covington Catholic High School player finished in the top 16 of the 2013 USTA Nationals in Kalamazoo, Mich.
