Pre-College
Played for Terry Smith at Hilliard Davidson High School in Ohio, earning three varsity letters … During the club season, Bumpus was under the guidance of Billy Thompson as a member of the Columbus Crew Soccer Academy … During his freshman season at Hilliard, Bumpus helped to lead the Wildcats to a 2009 District title while on the way to be naming team “Rookie of the Year” as well as Ohio Capital Conference Special Mention … During the 2009 club season, Bumpus helped win the Ohio state Club title and a berth in the Regional Final for the Crew … At the conclusion of Bumpus’ sophomore season, one in which he was named team captain by coaches and fellow teammates, Bumpus was named Top Midfielder by the team and his second consecutive OCC Special Mention … The club campaign brought another Ohio state title, Midwest Regional League Championship and a finalist at the Disney College Showcase … The 2011 junior season saw Bumpus named Hilliard MVP and first-team all-OCC, first-team all-district and second-team all-state.
