Men’s Soccer Returns Home to Start Conference Competition
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer (1-2-2) will return home to The Bell Soccer Complex to begin Sun Belt Conference play against Georgia Southern (3-0-2) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The Wildcats are coming back to Lexington after the first road match of the regular-season schedule at Lipscomb last Saturday. The match resulted in a 2-2 draw between the Cats and Bison. Georgia Southern travels to UK following a 2-2 draw of their own on home turf against the University of Alabama at Birmingham on Sunday.
Kentucky and Georgia Southern hold an all-time series record of 2-1-1 UK with the first contest taking place in 1994. The conference rivals last went head-to-head in the 2023 regular season in Statesboro, Ga. which resulted in a 1-0 Kentucky victory.
Friday’s match will be POW/MIA Recognition Night honoring Rolling Thunder Kentucky Chapter Five and Air Force ROTC Detachment 290 who will be in attendance.
