Wildcats Host Chanticleers Wednesday at The Bell
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 2 Kentucky men’s soccer team (8-0-4, 3-0-3 Sun Belt) will host Sun Belt opponent Coastal Carolina (3-3-5, 0-0-4) at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday at The Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.
The Wildcats return home following a 3-3 tie at West Virginia University last Saturday. Earning a conference road draw, senior Luis Grassow and sophomore Casper Grening contributed three goals for the Cats.
Kentucky is one of five teams still undefeated in NCAA Division I men’s soccer. The Wildcats look to continue the unbeaten run with Wednesday’s match. The Cats completed a streak of 15 undefeated matches in the 2021 season.
UK last went head-to-head with former Conference USA opponent, Coastal Carolina, in the first round of the conference tournament last season. The Wildcats defeated the Chanticleers, 3-1. The conference rivals hold a 2-1-1 all-time series record.
