Men’s Soccer Returns to The Bell to Host Georgia Southern

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 3 Kentucky men’s soccer team (7-0-2, 2-0-1 Sun Belt) will return to Lexington to host Georgia Southern (1-9-0, 0-3-0 Sun Belt) for a 7:00 p.m. ET Sunday match at The Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.

The Wildcats are coming off a two-game road stand at RV Georgia State and James Madison University which added the first two conference victories of the 2022 campaign.

UK’s two wins featured eight different goal scorers in Casper Grening, Enzo Mauriz, Nick Gutmann, Eythor Bjorgolfsson, Justin Scharf, Ben Damge, Lucca Rodrigues and Martin Soereide.

Sunday’s contest will be the first matchup since 2004 between the Wildcats and Eagles. Kentucky holds a 0-1-1 all-time series record with Georgia Southern.

Fans will have the opportunity to bring their favorite pups to the pitch for Bark at The Bell on Sunday. While supplies last, dogs will receive free treats upon entry. Dogs will be permitted through the berm side gate. All dogs must be kept on a leash while in Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.

A maximum of (1) dog per person is permitted. Dogs must stay on the grass berm and are not permitted in the seating bowl at any time (this includes using the restrooms, concessions, or bookstore). Owners are permitted to bring a water bowl for their dog, but dog food is prohibited. Kentucky Athletics reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog or require a dog to exit the stadium.

Bring your dog to Bark at the Park if he/she:

  • Does well on-leash and is not aggressive toward people or other dogs
  • Is friendly toward humans and not excessively fearful
  • Is on a leash and supervised by an adult at all times

Participants are expected to practice responsible pet ownership. If your dog is an aggressive breed or has aggressive tendencies, do not bring him/her to this event. Do not bring your dog if it is unpredictable in crowds, with other dogs, and/or with strangers. Kentucky Athletics reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog or require a dog to leave for any reason.
