Cats Travel to FAU in C-USA Road Opener

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After dropping its Conference USA opener in overtime at home last weekend, No. 10 Kentucky (8-2-1) looks to bounce back in its first conference road match against Florida Atlantic (3-1-2, 0-1 C-USA) on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, live on CUSA.tv.

In Kentucky’s last outing, the Wildcats fell 1-0 to Charlotte in their fourth overtime contest of the spring’s first five matches. The loss snapped an 18-0-11 undefeated streak of overtime matches, dating back to 2012.

Junior forward Daniel Evans scored his fourth goal of the season in the loss to the 49ers, tying him with Brock Lindow for the team lead and propelling him to first outright with 11 points overall. Redshirt sophomore Ryan Troutman recorded just his first loss as Kentucky goalkeeper, falling to 7-1-1 as a starter.

Florida Atlantic is set to make its C-USA home debut after falling 2-0 at FIU last week, though the Owls have yet to compete outside the state of Florida this season.

Kentucky owns an 8-0-1 advantage over Florida Atlantic in the team’s all-time head-to-head series.
