No. 4 Kentucky to Finish Non-League Slate Against Bellarmine

by Connor Link

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fresh off its ninth shutout of the season last weekend, No. 4 Kentucky (9-0-4) is set to polish off its regular season non-conference slate against in-state foe Bellarmine (6-6-1) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

The meeting will be the first between the teams as Division I counterparts, following Bellarmine’s departure from Division II in 2020.

Kentucky most recently played to a scoreless draw with South Carolina after two overtime periods last Saturday. Goalkeeper Jan Hoffelner recorded a season-high-tying five saves en route to picking up his fourth consecutive clean sheet.

Bellarmine fell 4-2 at Stetson last Saturday. The Knights’ only common opponent with Kentucky during the regular season was Louisville, who defeated Bellarmine 1-0 in double overtime before losing 3-1 to Kentucky just four days later.
