Kentucky Men Third, Women Fifth at Wooo Pig Classic
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s track and field team finished third and the UK women were fifth in team standings Fridayat the Wooo Pig Classic in the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
Among a strong field of seven teams, the UK men did not win any events, but picked up a number of second and third place finishes.
- Lance Lang, second in the 200m dash, 20.98 seconds; and third in the 60m dash, 6.75
- Matt Peare, second in the pole vault, 17’4.5″/5.30m
- Rahman Minor, second in the high jump, 7’0.5″/2.15m; actually tied for the winning height but finished second in tiebreaker based on number of jumps needed to clear
- Tai Brown, third in the 60-meter hurdles, 7.94 seconds
- Dwight St. Hillaire, third in the 400m run, 46.78
- Dylan Allen, third in the 3000m run, 8:11.54
- Josh Sobota, third in the shot put, 60’3.25″/18.37m

For the Kentucky women, Molly Leppelmeier claimed UK’s only win of the day, with a toss of 50’5.25″/15.37m in the shot put. She also finished second in the weight throw with a sling of 65’7.75″/20m. More top finishers included:
- Abby Steiner, second in the 60m dash, 7.22, a personal best that improved her No. 5 mark on UK all-time list
- Carly Hinkle and Annika Williams tied for second in the high jump, 5’8.5″/1.74m
- Third in the 4x400m relay, 3:33.48 with a season best

The Arkansas men and women won each side of the meet. Following the Arkansas men were South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, LSU, Missouri and Oklahoma State. Trailing the Razorback women were Texas, LSU, South Carolina, Kentucky, Oklahoma State and Missouri.
