Kentucky Women’s Soccer Travels to LSU on Thursday Night
BATON ROUGE, La. – Kentucky (6-9-3, 1-7-1 SEC) travels to Louisiana State University (2-12-3, 0-7-2 SEC) on Thursday night at 7:45 p.m. at LSU Soccer Stadium. This game will be streamed live on SEC Network+ and will also be a part of SEC Network’s “Reach the Beach” coverage, which is a 4-hour whip around show featuring live look-in’s of all seven Southeastern Conference matches happening that evening.
The Wildcats come into this game after a 1-0 loss in overtime to Vanderbilt at home on Sunday afternoon at The Bell. They have picked up four of a possible nine points in their last three games with a win over Missouri, a draw at Georgia and the loss to the Commodores. UK’s season will end after its game with LSU after being eliminated from postseason contention.
Freshman forwards Hannah Richardson and Jordyn Rhodes lead the team in scoring as Richardson has recorded eight goals and one assist in 17 games played and Rhodes has scored six goals and registered one assist in 18 games played.
With a win on Thursday, Kentucky would close out its season with a victory for the third-straight year with the previous two wins, in 2017 and 2018, coming against Georgia.
