LEXINGTON, Ky. – After suffering its first regular season loss since October 2018, No. 9 Kentucky (1-1) looks to bounce back versus Tulsa (2-0) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.

The Wildcats fell to in-state rival Louisville by a 3-0 final last Tuesday. The defeat mirrors the 3-0 victory Kentucky recorded over the Cardinals a year prior.

Despite last Tuesday’s setback, UK has still not lost a regular season match at home since Oct. 21, 2017.

2019 Conference USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Aimé Mabika leads the Cats with two goals on the season, trailed closely by a lone goal from C-USA Preseason Co-Offensive Player of the Year Jason Reyes. Fellow C-USA Preseason Co-Offensive Player of the Year Kalil ElMedkhar and sophomore Daniel Evans enter Friday with one assist apiece.

Tulsa visits Lexington on the heels of consecutive home wins over Gonzaga and Lipscomb. The Golden Hurricane lead the all-time head-to-head series with the Cats by a 7-5-1 margin. The teams’ last meeting resulted in a scoreless stalemate on Oct. 13, 2013.
