No. 17 Kentucky to Face No. 13 Arkansas at Bogle Park
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Looking to snap a season-high four-game losing streak, the Kentucky Wildcats will dip back into Southeastern Conference play over the weekend as it travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas for a three-game series against the Razorbacks.
Friday’s game will be at 7 p.m. ET, followed by 2 p.m. ET games on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to round out the series. All three games of the set will be broadcasted live on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app.
Arkansas leads the all-time series vs. Kentucky 31-25. The teams only met once last year, and that was at the 2018 SEC Tournament in the quarterfinal round. Arkansas won 3-1.
UK swept the Razorbacks in 2016, the Wildcats last visit to Bogle Park. The last regular-season series between the two sides was in Lexington in 2017 and UK swept that series, as well. Rachel Lawson is 16-11 vs. Arkansas.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Wildcats will no doubt be turning to Abbey Cheek who is off to the best start to a season in her career. Cheek, a senior from Inman, S.C., is 6th nationally in batting average right now; 3rd in on-base percentage; 34th in HR’s; 53rd in RBI; 12th in slugging; 34th in total bases; 11th in walks.
Arkansas is entering the weekend 23-10 overall and has an RPI of 27. The Razorbacks lost a three-game series to Tennessee last weekend and split with UT-Arlington.
