LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 6/4 Texas A&M Aggies scored three times inside the first 23 minutes away to get a big leg up in a Sunday showdown at Kentucky on Sunday afternoon, holding on to defeat the Kentucky Wildcats 4-1 in Lexington.
The lone Kentucky goal in the match came off the foot of Abby Steiner, who scored her second goal of the season in the 30th minute for the Wildcats. After Kentucky responded with a goal by Steiner on the half-hour mark, Addie McCain scored off a long-range set piece for the Aggies to bump the lead back up to three goals.
