No. 6 Kentucky to Play Tuesday at Lipscomb
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 6 Kentucky will conclude a three-match run of road games at Lipscomb on Tuesday.
The match will be streamed via Facebook Live.
The setup
The Wildcats are unbeaten through five games this season with a won-lost-drawn record of 4-0-1 (1-0-0 Conference USA). Kentucky is off to its first unbeaten start through five matches since 2009, when UK began the year 5-0-0.
Kentucky has kept clean sheets through its first five games of the year. The Wildcats have scored seven goals this year with junior co-captain JJ Williams having scored four of them.
Sophomore goalkeeper Enrique Facusse has 13 career shutouts from 23 matches played.
Kentucky checked into the United Soccer Coaches poll at No. 6 last Tuesday.
The opponent
Lipscomb has lost four matches in a row and is 1-4-0 after opening the season with a shutout win over Belmont.
The history
The two sides have played just twice before, each of the past two years at The Bell. Lipscomb leads the all-time series 1-0-1
The Bisons won a year ago 3-2 on Oct. 21, with Kentucky coming back to equalize twice only to see the visitors take the lead for the third and final time just before the hour mark.
Kentucky and Lipscomb met for the first time in 2016, a matchup which ended in a 1-1 (2OT) draw
