Kentucky Softball Announces 2018 Fall Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky softball announced its fall schedule on Thursday afternoon, highlighted by three home dates at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington. All together, the Wildcats will play seven opponents over six dates.
“I’m excited to see how our team looks in the fall,” UK head coach Rachel Lawson said. “We have a significant number of freshman on our team this year, and I look forward to seeing how they are going to impact us this season. They have created a lot of excitement in practice and the fall is a great opportunity for us as a coaching staff and a team to develop them into players who can compete in the SEC and help us to our goal of winning championships.”
The fall campaign kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. ET against Eastern Kentucky at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington. There will be free admission for all home fall softball games.
UK will play on the road three times over the fall, all at power-five schools. The Wildcats face Ohio State in Columbus on Sept. 30, Louisville and WKU at UL on Oct. 13 and travel to Rocky Top to play Tennessee on Oct. 14.
Kentucky will release its full spring schedule in the coming months.
