Digital Ticketing Enhancements in Place for 2018-19 Season
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In an effort to make ticket buying and management as easy and seamless as possible for fans, UK Athletics has made multiple digital ticketing enhancements ahead of the upcoming 2018-19 season.
Last month, UK launched a new online ticketing presence at UKathletics.com/tickets through a partnership with SIDEARM Sports to allow fans to navigate information about tickets in an intuitive environment. The responsive layout and design scales to fit the user device on desktop, tablet and mobile so fans will be able to access information easily on the go.
UK has also integrated ticketing into the UK Athletics app in partnership with SIDEARM Sports and Ticketmaster. Fans can now access season and single-game tickets purchased from both the UK Ticket Office and Ticketmaster in one convenient location, the UK Athletics app presented by Hunt Brothers Pizza. Fans can also completely manage tickets through the app, including viewing and scanning barcodes, electronically sending tickets to family and friends, and posting tickets to select events for sale through TicketExchange, the official fan-to-fan marketplace of UK Athletics.
Announced last week in partnership with Experience and Ticketmaster, the student ticketing process for home football and men’s basketball is now entirely mobile. Students can purchase season passes at UKStudentTix.com and claim tickets through the UK Athletics app, with paper tickets and the lottery process replaced by a more efficient mobile system.
UK also launched upgraded versions of My UK Account and My UK Student Account last week in partnership with Ticketmaster. The upgrade brings a look and feel that matches UKathletics.com and UKathletics.com/tickets while giving fans the ability to quickly pay season ticket invoices on mobile devices and access to simpler ticket management features. All tickets purchased through the UK Ticket Office correspond with a My UK Account. Complete information on how fans can access their account and manage their tickets is available online.
Finally, UK Athletics is excited to adopt “Digital Delivery” for all Kentucky soccer season tickets and all Kentucky volleyball general admission season tickets, beginning with the 2018 season. Instead of receiving printed tickets, general admission season ticket holders will be able to access their tickets electronically through My UK Account or the UK Athletics app. Fans with reserved volleyball tickets will still have the option to receive printed ticket books or have tickets placed at will call, in addition to the new Digital Delivery option. Fans who prefer printed tickets can log in to their My UK Account from a non-mobile device to access printable PDF tickets. Soccer and volleyball season ticket holders will receive more information with their season ticket renewal applications in early July.
