Kentucky Hosting 2018 NCAA Softball Regionals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team was announced as a host team for the 2018 NCAA Softball Championship on Sunday night during the NCAA Softball Selection Show.
 

With that, the Wildcats will host the 2018 NCAA Softball Regionals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at John Cropp Stadium. UK will welcome in Michigan, Notre Dame and Illinois-Chicago for the regionals.
 
Friday’s schedule kicks off at Noon ET with (2) Michigan playing (3) Notre Dame live on ESPN2 from John Cropp Stadium. UK will then follow with its opening game against UIC at 2:30 p.m. ET.
 
All-session tickets will go on sale tomorrow morning, May 14 at 9 a.m. ET, exclusively online through UKathletics.com/NCAATickets. Single-session tickets will go on sale Wednesday, May 16 at 9 a.m. ET, based on availability.

Friday, May 18
Game 1 – Notre Dame (32-21) vs. Michigan (43-11) – Noon ET – ESPN2
Game 2 – UIC (33-19) vs. Kentucky (31-19) – 2:30 p.m. ET – ESPN3.com

Saturday, May 19
Game 3 – Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 – Noon ET
Game 4 – Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 – 2:30 p.m. ET
Game 5 – Loser Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4 – 5 p.m. ET

Sunday, May 20
Game 6 – Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 5 – Noon ET
Game 7 – (If necessary) – 2:30 p.m. ET
