Kentucky Baseball Announces Summer Camp Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Baseball will host a series of instructional camps this summer, with anyone in first through 12th grade having the opportunity to register and participate, the school announced Friday.
There will be four separate Wildcat Baseball School camps, which is open to all children enrolled in first through eighth grade. With both full-day and half-day options the camp offers the young player the opportunity to develop his baseball skills in a fun and positive learning atmosphere. Our staff will teach each player baseball fundamentals, drill work specifically designed to improve each camper’s offensive and defensive skills, and also simulated game situations. Campers will be placed in groups based on age and ability.
UK also will host a one-day High School Prospect Camp on July 3 for players in ninth through 12th grade. UK Baseball’s Prospect Camps are designed for advanced evaluation and instruction by the Wildcat coaching staff for players who aspire to compete at the NCAA Division I level. Campers will receive expert instruction from the coaching staff, as well as select visiting college coaches. Campers will be grouped by position and will have the chance to work out at their primary position. The camp also utilizes state-of-the-art training tools, such as HitTrax™ and FungoMan™, and will also include presentations concerning the recruiting process, strength and conditioning, and more.
