Musselman Scores Fourth Top-10 Finish of Season to Lead UK
Final Results
STATESBORO, Ga. – For the fourth time this season and the 11th time in his career senior Cooper Musselman carded a top-10 finish to lead the way for the Kentucky men’s golf team on the final day of play at the Schenkel Invitational.
Musselman was sensational in recording three sub-par rounds on all three days of play finishing with a 3-under round on Sunday to earn a tie for seventh and an 8-under score for the tournament. His combined 208 score is just one shot off his career-low 54-hole total which he set earlier this season at the Bearcat Invitational when he placed ninth overall.
The Wildcats concluded the tournament in fifth place for their sixth top-five finish of the season.
“We played decent overall in this event,” UK head coach Brian Craig said. “Just had to count one high score today. That happens in this game. We are trending in the right direction and I love this team. We will be ready to go for the Hootie next week.”
The Wildcats will waste little time in returning to the course with a three-day, 54-hole tournament at the Hootie at Bulls Bay up next. The Cats are set to tee off beginning on March 25.
