No. 17 Kentucky Travels to Arkansas, Missouri This Weekend

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 17 Kentucky women’s tennis team will hit the road this weekend to continue Southeastern Conference play, taking on No. 32 Arkansas at 6 p.m. ET on Friday and Missouri at noon on Sunday.
 
The Wildcats began their SEC schedule last weekend, going 1-1 with a win over Alabama before falling to No. 16 Auburn. Both matches were tightly contested, each needing every single court to decide the winner. Kentucky has won six of its last seven contests, including three over ranked foes.
 
This weekend begins a four-match road stretch for Kentucky, which will travel travel to face Ole Miss and Mississippi State next weekend. The Wildcats are 2-1 on the road this season.
 
Arkansas owns a 5-5 overall record in 2018, including a 1-0 mark in SEC play after defeating Missouri in both teams’ conference opener on March 2. The Razorbacks are led in singles by No. 66 Guilia Pairone and No. 87 Ana Oparenovic, and also combine to form four different ranked doubles pairs, led by No. 30 Oparenovic/Tatum Rice.
 
Entering the weekend, Missouri is 11-4 on the season with a 0-1 record in conference play. The Tigers will take on No. 4 Vanderbilt on Friday before bringing in Kentucky on Sunday. Sunday’s bout wraps up a 10-match home stand for Missouri.
