Kentucky to Host Blue/White Meet on Sunday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky gymnastics team will host its Blue/White meet on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and admission is free to the public. The meet is the first chance for fans to pick up the 2018 Excite Night poster for the first time.
The meet is Kentucky’s first chance to compete in Memorial Coliseum this season and will be one of UK’s final tune-ups before the 2017 campaign begins with Excite Night in Rupp Arena on Jan. 5.
“We always look forward to getting into Memorial Coliseum for the Blue/White meet,” head coach Tim Garrison said. “It brings into sharp focus that season is almost here. This time will have a different look and feel as it will be set up like the floor in Rupp Arena for Excite Night. I hope BBN is ready for a preview of our 2018 squad as well as getting our special Excite Night poster. I’m looking forward to seeing them Sunday.”
The first regular season home competition will take place in Rupp Arena against Southeast Missouri State, Ball State and George Washington. UK’s home schedule features home meets against Florida, Georgia, Missouri and Ohio State.
