Team Records and Series Notes
-Kentucky is now 3-0 this season.

  • Tonight was UK’s first road win of the season.

-Matthew Mitchell is in his 11th season as head coach at Kentucky. He is the winningest head coach in program history at 244-100.
-Tonight’s game was the first ever meeting between Montana and Kentucky in women’s basketball.
-Kentucky is now 2-0 all-time against opponents from the current alignment of the Big Sky Conference.

  • Its only previous game against the conference came earlier this season, when UK defeated Sacramento State, 101-70 in the season opener.

-The Wildcats entered The Associated Press Top 25 at No. 25 after starting the season 2-0. UK is receiving votes in the USA Today/Coaches’ Preseason Top 25, as the poll will not begin until next week. UK has been receiving votes or ranked in both preseason listings each of the last eight years.
-Kentucky will be back in action this Sunday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. ET, taking on Washington State in second road contest of the season. The game can be streamed live on Pac-12.com, and will be broadcast live on the UK Sports Radio Network with Darren Headrick calling the action.
 
Team Notes
-Kentucky used the starting combination of senior Alyssa Rice, senior Makenzie Cann, junior Taylor Murray, junior Maci Morris and freshman Dorie Harrison.

  • UK is 3-0 with that starting-five combination.

-The Wildcats opened the contest on a 9-2 run
-Montana started the second quarter on an 11-0 run, holding Kentucky scoreless for the first 5:10 of the period and giving Montana a 22-20 lead.

  • It was the first time an opponent has gone on a run of 10-0 or better against UK this season.

-Kentucky was held to just seven points in the second quarter.

  • It was the first time UK has been held to single digits in a quarter yet this season.

-The Cats went on a 10-0 run in the third quarter as part of a 12-1 overall run to regain the lead.
-UK never trailed in the second half.
-After shooting just 32.3 percent from the field in the first half, UK went 55.6 percent from the floor in the second half.
-UK held Montana to just 28.6 percent shooting in the game.
 
Player Notes
Taylor Murray led the Wildcats with 18 points and 12 rebounds for her third career double-double.

  • She also added a game-high three steals and three assists in the game.
  • Her 12 rebounds were just one shy of tying a career high.

Maci Morris added a season-high 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block.

  • Morris did not miss in the second half, going 3-of-3 from the floor including 2-of-2 from long range.
  • The junior had 11 of her 16 points in the second half alone.

Jaida Roper had a career-high 14 points to go along with a career-best five rebounds.

  • The sophomore has set new career scoring marks in all three games yet this season.
  • She also played a career-high 26 minutes in the win.

Dorie Harrison had nine points to go along with eight rebounds.
Alyssa Rice scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.

  • Her nine rebounds were a season high and matched her career high.
