UK Women’s Soccer Selected for Two National ESPN Telecasts

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team was selected for two national TV broadcasts this season, ESPN and the SEC Network jointly announced on Wednesday morning. 

Kentucky will have a chance to show off the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex to the nation on Thursday, Oct. 12 against the Missouri Tigers. Kick-off will be at 7 p.m. ET as part of ESPN’s Thursday Night Soccer on the SEC Network with the FIFA Women’s World Cup announcing team of Jenn Hildreth (pxp) and Heather Mitts (color). 

UK’s second national TV game will be on the road this year, as the border showdown between UK and Tennessee will be shown live on ESPNU. That game will kick off at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 17 live on ESPNU.

All of Kentucky’s home games will be shown live on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app in their entirety with former All-American, Stuart Pope on the call from Lexington. In addition, all of UK’s Southeastern Conference road games will be shown on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app as well.
