No. 24 Kentucky Wraps Up Regular Season at No. 50 Arkansas and No. 32 Ole Miss

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 24 Kentucky men’s tennis team will wrap up the regular season on the road when UK faces Arkansas and Ole Miss this weekend. The Wildcats will take on No. 50 Arkansas on Friday at 7 p.m. ET and No. 32 Ole Miss on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Last time out, the Cats dropped to 14-9 and 5-5 in the Southeastern Conference after UK fell, 4-3, to Alabama on Senior Day at the Boone Tennis Center. Seniors Beck Pennington and Nils Ellefsen were honored before the match began for their contributions to UK men’s tennis, and both won their singles matches over the Crimson Tide. 
Kentucky’s two weekend opponents faced off on Sunday, with Ole Miss defeating Arkansas, 4-3, in Oxford, Mississippi. The Razorbacks dropped to 13-11 and 4-6 in the SEC, while the Rebels improved to 11-8 and 4-6 in the league.
The Wildcats have two singles and one doubles duo ranked in the latest ITA rankings, while the squad sits at No. 24. Will Bushamuka is the highest ranked singles player for the Cats at No. 19, while Ryo Matsumura comes in at No. 49. In doubles, Beck Pennington and Enzo Wallart are Kentucky’s only ranked doubles duo at No. 32. 
Arkansas features two ranked singles players. Mike Redlicki comes in at No. 11, while Jose Salazar is ranked No. 29. In doubles, Salazar and Redlicki team up as the No. 7 duo in the nation. For Ole Miss, Gustav Hansson is the only ranked singles individual at No. 25. Fabian Fallert and Grey Hamilton are ranked No. 25 in doubles for the Rebels.
After the conclusion of the regular season, Kentucky will head to Knoxville, Tennessee for the SEC Tournament. The tournament is set to run between April 26-30, and is hosted by the University of Tennessee.
