– Matthew Mitchell is in his 10th season with Kentucky. Mitchell rises to 265-126 overall as a head coach, and 235-97 during his tenure at Kentucky.

– UK improves to 23-27 in the overall series against Vanderbilt.

o Kentucky has won 11 of the last 12 contests between the two programs.

– Kentucky re-entered The Associated Press Top 25 this week at No. 25 after going on a five-game win streak.

– The Wildcats will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 9 as they travel to Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Lady Bulldogs. The game will tip off at 7 ET on SEC Network+. The game also will be broadcast live on the UK Sports Network with Neil Price on the call.

– Kentucky used the starting five of Makayla Epps, Evelyn Akhator, Maci Morris, Alyssa Rice and Taylor Murray for the 12th straight game.

– Vanderbilt came out firing in the fourth with two quick 3-pointers to edge within three, but would come no closer.

– The Wildcats forced 22 turnovers in the contest, and only committed 10.

o Before today’s game, the Commodores were averaging 17.7 turnovers per game.

o Kentucky had 11 steals in the game, a season high in SEC play.

– UK dominated the paint, doubling Vanderbilt’s production by posting 44 points to their 22 in the paint. 

– Kentucky shot 39.7 percent from the field, while Vanderbilt shot 42.6 percent. 

o The Wildcats are now 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the SEC when their opponent shots a higher percentage. 

– Makayla Epps poured in a game-high 23 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists.

o The performance marked her fourth straight game with 20 or more points and her 10th 20+ point game of the season. 

o With today’s 23 points, Epps rises to No. 5 on Kentucky’s all-time scoring list with 1,620 career points.

o Epps led the Wildcats in rebounds for just the fourth time this season and the tenth time in her career.

o Epps went 2-of-3 from long range and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line tonight. 

– Evelyn Akhator scored 20 points and grabbed eight boards.

o It was her seventh game with 20 or more points this season and her 19th double-digit scoring effort of the season.

– Taylor Murray added 18 points, five rebound and seven assists.

o After her lowest scoring game of the season against South Carolina on Thursday, Murray bounced back by having her ninth 15+ point game of the season today.

o All of Murray’s seven assists came in the first half.

o It was her 14th double-digit scoring performance of the season.

– Alyssa Rice had eight points and three rebounds.

o Rice is averaging 9.0 points in the last two contests.
